An elegant Finnish vintage armchair stylistically associated with the work of Werner West and furniture produced by Keravan Puusepäntehdas for Stockmann.
With its high supportive backrest, comfortable armrests and well-balanced seating position, the chair is particularly suitable for use at a writing desk or work table. Its sculptural silhouette also makes it a distinctive standalone accent chair.
The chair has been fully and professionally restored. The wooden frame has been carefully restored and traditionally finished with shellac, preserving the natural character, warmth and depth of the aged wood.
The restoration retains the chair’s original two-tone upholstery concept, reinterpreted in a softer and more inviting contemporary palette. The chair is newly upholstered in the iconic Hallingdal 65 by Kvadrat, designed by Danish designer Nanna Ditzel. The textile is composed of 70% wool and 30% viscose and is exceptionally durable.
The combination of the light, textured backrest, the deeper-toned seat and the warm wooden frame highlights the chair’s graphic construction while preserving its distinctive vintage character.
