Vintage Lounge Armchair - Boman Oy, 1940s–50s

A distinctive vintage lounge armchair by Finnish manufacturer Boman Oy, dating approximately from the 1940s–50s.

The defining feature of this model is its characteristic wingback-style backrest, gently curving outwards like wings on either side. Together with the wide, rounded seat, it creates a sculptural and distinctive silhouette. The armchair is both visually striking and exceptionally comfortable.

The chair has been fully and professionally restored, including the structure, internal cushioning and upholstery. The birch legs have also been carefully restored.

For the new upholstery, we selected a high-quality KAI bouclé fabric made in the UK. Its light colour and rich texture beautifully emphasise the chair’s soft, organic form, giving it an inviting and elegant appearance.

For additional protection, the fabric has been professionally treated with SoftCare, a specialist treatment designed to help repel dirt and stains.

An exceptionally comfortable lounge chair for relaxing and reading, as well as a distinctive statement piece for a contemporary interior.
