Irina de Andres Studio is a design studio dedicated to the restoration and reinterpretation of vintage furniture.

We don’t simply restore furniture – we reinvent it. Each piece is carefully selected, upholstered in unique textiles and thoughtfully transformed into a contemporary creation rooted in timeless design.

Led by designer Irina de Andres, our atelier combines Scandinavian minimalism with bold and unexpected textures and patterns.

Materials Matter

Materials play a particularly important role in our design projects.

We collaborate with a diverse range of renowned textile and material suppliers, primarily European and international brands, with a particular focus on Nordic suppliers.

This allows us to offer our clients high-quality upholstery and interior solutions that respect the original character of each piece of furniture while giving it a fresh, contemporary expression.

Restore, reupholster, reimagine

Whether it’s an heirloom armchair, a mid‑century sideboard or an antique piece full of family memories, we approach each project as a unique collaboration. Guided by your wishes and our designer’s eye, we carefully restore, reupholster and subtly reimagine every detail — from wood finishes to fabric textures and color palettes.

Fabrics, design updates and structural repair

In addition to restoration, we help you select unique fabrics, update the design to suit your interior and repair or reinforce the structure, so your furniture becomes both beautiful and durable for everyday use.

We sell carefully restored and redesigned vintage and design furniture in Helsinki, selected and refurbished by hand. Our stores are located at Fredrikinkatu 16 (Fredantori) and Runeberginkatu 42 (Töölöntori).

Fully restored vintage furniture is available at De Andres Design, with two locations in Helsinki — at Töölöntori and Fredrikintori. All furniture is designed and restored by Irina De Andres, making each piece unique, carefully restored and of high quality. The collection is constantly evolving.

Vintage ARTEK furniture can be restored at De Andres Design, where a team with nearly ten years of experience specializes in restoring ARTEK furniture.

Vintage furniture can be professionally restored at De Andres Design, where nearly ten years of experience, traditional craftsmanship and a passion for Finnish design come together. Each piece is carefully and individually restored — beautifully and with lasting quality.

Rattan furniture can be repaired at De Andres Design in Helsinki. The work usually takes around one week, and we use high-quality materials sourced from Sweden. Prices can be found on our website.
